What You Will Do:

The Quality Assurance Technician is to plan and direct our quality control program to make sure continuous production of products are consistent with established standards.


  • Inspect and analyze all aspects of the production cycle to ensure conformance to our quality control requirements (GMP, HACCP, SQF, Allergen, and Standard Operating Procedure's).
  • Responsible to report food safety and quality issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.
  • Document and maintain quality control standards and on-going control objectives.
  • Inspect and test product throughout production cycle to ensure high product integrity.
  • Perform physical and sensory tests on all raw and finished products using approved methods to generate accurate data.
  • Perform internal audits and correct quality issues as they arise within the different working groups to uphold the "Gold Quality Standard".
  • Share and discuss internal audit results with management, make appropriate recommendations and set timetables for improvement and corrections.
  • Address non-conformities from previous internal and external audits.
  • Ensure conformance to our various quality control requirements (GMP, HACCP, SQF, Allergen, and Standard Operating Procedure's) through constant vigilance and address non-conformities with employees and management as they occur.
  • Performs educational and/or training duties as required or directed for compliance with GMP, HACCP, SQF and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct and maintain established calibration and testing programs.
  • Maintain logs in compliance with existing GMP, HACCP, SQF, Allergen and Standard Operating Procedure's programs.
  • Function as an information source for employees when critical quality issues or questions arise.
  • Responsible for the outgoing quality, safety and efficiency of all finished product, compliance with all applicable specifications, standard operating procedures,
  • Interface and engage with inspectors upon scheduled and unscheduled visits/inspections.
  • Inspects raw and finished products for quality standards and compliance. Monitors and assist production employees.
  • Retain product when needed, tag product, complete QA hold forms and documentation.
  • Work with internal Wet Noses, Inc. leadership to maintain efficient and compliant operations.

Work Environment:

All work is performed in an indoor warehouse production facility. While performing the duties of this position, employees may be exposed to ingredients that may contain allergens(peanuts, flour). Employees are also exposed to extreme temperatures (coolers, freezers, outdoor temperatures).

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to set, use hand to finger, handle, feel objects and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasional lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Currently hiring for: All Shifts

1st Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

2nd Shift: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM

3rd Shift: 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM (Differential pay of $1.00 per hour applies).

The normal work week is Monday - Friday; however hours are dictated by the workload and at times require more than a typical 40 - hour work week.

Starting Rate: $16 per hour or more based on expierence.
